When I started this project, I was in search of my inner self, of that creative other, and I think I’m still searching, because we are constantly changing.

At the end of 2015, during one of the many walks through the streets of Berlin, being new in the city, without a job, with my little son Manu, my wife Maite (who is a great participant in this project, thanks to her motivation and the most beautiful thing a person can offer: to believe unconditionally in another without expecting anything in return), and with a lot of free time, I embarked on this adventure of creating photographs of abandoned places. Places where rust has the first word, followed by the look and the transformation that my mind wants to interpret in each shot, although these interpretations may not make sense to some.

At this point, I want to quote the title of the film ‘Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)’, because I believe that the divine state of leisure, seen from this perspective, allows you to create.

This is how this little being was born; through photographs it grew day by day, until it reached the point of presenting this project in the form of a work.
